Use a clear reference
Record the target drawing, appearance sample and required properties. Identify the grade on the sample bag and keep the associated documentation with the trial record.
Record actual conditions
Keep notes on the equipment, setup and observed results. If conditions are changed, record the change so that the results can be discussed accurately with the supplier and your customer.
Confirm before scaling up
Discuss any differences between the trial and the intended production conditions. Confirm the final grade, specification, packaging and acceptance criteria in the order documentation.
Material requirements must be confirmed for the selected grade.
